Designer team Mark Badgley and James Mischka dialed back their signature glitz, but revved up sophisticated glam in their alluring Spring 2010 collection, proving that even when a cool economic forecast is in the air, a modern woman can still step out with class and flair.
Out of the artists’ hands, the color palette comes to life in a collection dominated by sultry whites and blacks, while stirring in grabbing pieces that flirt (gracefully) in hot pinks and reds. The duo did not stray from familiar deep V-necks, be it coupled with luxurious lace – think Kara DioGuardi and the 2009 Emmys red carpet – or matched casually with a belt and shorts fitting femininely against the waist. Even when the occasion is casual, the B.M. woman is always prepared for the unexpected photo op…Is it spring yet?
