Vassilios Kostetsos presented a beautiful collection, filled with color and life, at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Inspired by Eros, the god of Love, Vassilios captured passion and love in every piece and all the detailing in his Fall 2010 line.
Everything is fair in love and war! Armed with heavy ordnance, like upper arm bracelets, leather details, strong shoulders and metallic belts, the collection revealed the energy of the modern woman and man. His color palette symbolizes war and love in it’s endless battle, with reds, royal blues, blacks, nude tones and shiny metallics.
His extravagant combination of various fabrics and embellishments included satin, chiffon, patent and snake print leather, sequins, and flowers was overwhelming. The collection played with so many different materials and elements that worked so well together and told such a beautiful story – “Love unconquered in the battle”.
